Luke 1.26-38
How can this be?

A. OUR FAITH WILL BE TESTED
1. The Word of God can disturb us
2. A faith that is disturbed is not a bad thing
a. James 1.2-4, 12
b. 1 Peter 1.6-9

B. GOD HELPS OUR FAITH WHEN TESTED
1. Faith itself is a gift from God
2. God’s Word often creates problems that only faith can resolve
3. God’s Word relieves our fears
4. God will often give reasons for our faith
5. God sometimes strengthens our faith with an outward sign

C. OUR FAITH SUBMITS TO GOD WHEN TESTED
1. We stay committed to God
2. We open ourselves to all that God will do
3. We find in God a resting place
