Fall Women’s Bible Study

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY
Beginning Wednesday, October 5th, and meeting EVERY OTHER WEDNESDAY from 9:00AM-11:00AM in the Fellowship Hall, Robin Cooper will lead us in our study of Job: Lessons in Comfort By Frances Poston Bennett.

We will spend the first 45 minutes or so in prayer groups and then study the book of Job using Mrs. Bennett’s study guide. How could a book that speaks of intense suffering be uplifting in any way?

“Bennett approaches the book of Job from the angle of comfort in suffering. All thirteen lessons constantly point us not to Job or his situation but to our covenant-keeping God who has perfect, loving control of every aspect of our lives, even when it seems He is clueless to our needs.”

IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND, please call Anna Moller 822-3271 or email annamm54@gmail.com. Please include the names and ages of your children. We are planning a loosely structured time for the children in the nursery, including a Bible story and the Children’s Catechism set to music. We will need your help in the nursery. If we all take our turn, the work will be light. A sign-up sheet will be passed around at our first meeting.

VERY IMPORTANT!
The discounted cost of the study guide is $12.19. Lord willing, a bulk order will be placed on Monday, September 12th so that you can receive the book in time to prepare for the first lesson. Please send/give Anna Moller cash or check (made out to “WIC”) before that time.

Quotes of note...

On the one hand, in matters of the spirit, nothing fails like success. On the other hand, in matters of the spirit, nothing succeeds like failure.
