2. By no means! We died to sin
Philippians 3.18-21

B. THE REASON: We are united to Christ [3-5]

1. Christians are baptized people
2. Christians are baptized into Christ
Baptism means “participation, connection, association, union”
1 Corinthians 1.13; 10.1-2; 12.12-13
Isaiah 44.1-5
3. Christians are baptized into the death of Christ
4. Christians are buried with Christ

C. THE EXPLANATION: We died and rose again with Christ

1. We died with Christ [6-7]
a. The old man crucified
b. The body of sin rendered powerless
c. No longer slaves to sin
2. We are alive with Christ [8-10]

How should we then live?
