Romans 4.25
He was delivered over to death for our sins
and was raised to life for our justification.
Why didn’t Paul put a period after saying,
“He was delivered over to death for our sins”?
1. We need to have FAITH in a living Jesus
2. We need to be IN UNION with a living Jesus
a. John 15: I am the vine, you are the branches
b. Ephesians 5: We are members of His body
3. We need access to the living and abiding MERIT of Christ
Justification, sanctification, adoption
and the several benefits which flow from them.
4. We need the life-giving BLOOD of Christ applied to us today
Hebrews 9.22
5. We need a LIVING MEDIATOR to lead us into God’s holy presence
