Colossians 4.2-6

Maturity in the World

A. SPEAK TO GOD ABOUT YOUR NEIGHBORS

1. Pray…and don’t give up

Continue steadfastly in prayer…

2. Pray with your eyes open

…being watchful in it…

3. Pray with gratitude

…with thanksgiving.

4. Pray for others

At the same time, pray also for us…

5. Pray about the gospel

a. Open doors for the Word

…that God may open to us a door for the word…

b. Ministers of the Word

…that I may make it clear, which is how I ought to speak.

B. SPEAK TO YOUR NEIGHBORS ABOUT GOD

1. When to speak

…making the best use of the time.

2. How to speak

Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt…

3. What to speak

…so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.
