2. Spiritual maturity is possible [1.3-8]

3. Spiritual maturity is to be prayed for [1.9-12]

A. PRAY TO KNOW GOD’S WILL [9-10]

1. To know

2. To fully know

3. To know how to apply

a. Wisdom and understanding

b. SPIRITUAL wisdom and understanding

c. ALL spiritual wisdom and understanding

4. To know the purpose of God’s will

a. Walk worthy of the Lord

b. To please God in all respects

c. To bear good fruit

B. PRAY TO BE ABLE TO DO GOD’S WILL [11-12]

1. God’s enabling power

2. God’s power in the face of difficulties

a. Difficult circumstances: steadfastness

b. Difficult people: patience

c. Difficult emotions: joy

C. PRAY WITHOUT CEASING [9a]

Don’t stop praying for spiritual maturity
for yourself AND for your friends
