That the Generation to Come Might Know Campaign Gets Underway!

“Where there is no vision the people perish”

(Proverbs 29:18)

A dream, a vision, a goal — such is needed for God’s people to keep going forward

We here at Church Creek Presbyterian Church have a vision of the work to be accomplished here in Charleston. We must meet the ever-changing spiritual needs of our growing city. We have studied this issue thoroughly. Our facilities have been evaluated and found to be inadequate to properly fulfill that vision. We have determined our multipurpose building and sanctuary renovation project is necessary to help us fulfill our mission as a church. The call of God upon our church challenges us to stretch beyond our comfort zone to allow us to extend the offer of the gospel both to our community and our world. We must have adequate facilities for our efforts to be effective.
We have embarked upon a Scriptural Stewardship Campaign to help us fund our objectives, which we have entitled That the Generation to Come Might Know taken from Psalm 78:5b—7. This approach is designed to help our people participate at a level which is appropriate for them, without being offensive.
One of the happiest features of our That the Generation to Come Might Know campaign is that our people want to give. As one layperson said, “I would not think of not giving to the support of my church. I want to give, and under God, I must give.”

Quotes of note...

Every time we say, 'I believe in the Holy Spirit,' we mean that we believe that there is a living God able and willing to enter human personality and change it.
