1. Something merely subjective

a. religious feeling

b. sincerity

2. Credulity

a. no evidence

b. wishful thinking

3. Optimism

a. a positive outlook on life

b. a purpose in life

B. WHAT FAITH IS

1. Knowledge

Of the unseen and eternal we can believe only what God has revealed
and of what God has revealed we can believe only what we know [Charles Hodge]

2. Assent
