2. There is a tension between the two

Though outwardly we are wasting away,

The spirit is willing, but the body is weak. [Matt 26.41]

3. The body IS death

You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh
but are in the realm of the Spirit,

And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ,
they do not belong to Christ.
